Sinan Bangle - Rubellite
A one carat natural rubellite, round cut, set into a slim 18k rose gold bangle and held in a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Rubellite is the pink-to-red variety of tourmaline, warm against rose gold the way a sunset warms desert sand. The bangle carries an engraved mashrabiya motif along its outer curve, geometry borrowed from the carved screens of the Islamic world. The form is named for Mimar Sinan, the 16th century Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye, whose discipline of pattern runs through the line. Hand applied pink enamel deepens the rose. Worn alone on a quiet wrist, the stone catches the light first; layered with a slim band, the pattern reads next.
