Sinan Bangle - Tanzanite
A one carat natural tanzanite, round cut, lifted on a slim 18k white gold bangle and ringed by a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Tanzanite is found in one place on earth, the Merelani Hills near Kilimanjaro, and the colour reads blue in daylight and violet under warm light. The bangle is engraved with a mashrabiya motif along its outer face, geometry drawn from the carved screens of Islamic architecture. The form is named for Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye, whose vocabulary of proportion runs through the collection. Hand applied sky blue enamel deepens the stone. Worn on a bare wrist for the day, stacked with a thin gold band for the evening.
