Sinan Bracelet - Rubellite
A one carat natural rubellite, round cut, suspended on an 18k rose gold chain and held in a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Rubellite is the pink-to-red variety of tourmaline; against rose gold it reads warm even in cool light. The setting is engraved with a mashrabiya motif, geometry borrowed from the carved screens of Islamic architecture. The bracelet is named for Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye, whose pattern vocabulary runs through the collection. Hand applied pink enamel deepens the rose of the stone. Worn at the wrist for daily, the stone rests against the pulse point; layered with a slim gold chain, the halo catches first.
