Sinan Bracelet - Verdelite
A one carat natural verdelite, round cut, suspended on an 18k yellow gold chain and held in a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Verdelite is green tourmaline, cooler than emerald, quieter on the skin, and it sits especially well next to yellow gold. The setting is engraved with a mashrabiya motif, geometry borrowed from the carved screens of Islamic architecture. The bracelet is named for Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye, whose pattern discipline shapes the line. Hand applied green enamel deepens the stone. Worn loose on the wrist the green moves with the hand; layered with a thin chain, the diamond halo lifts the stone forward.
