Sinan Earrings - Tanzanite
A pair of one carat natural tanzanites, round cut, lifted on 18k white gold and held each in a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Tanzanite is mined in a single place, the Merelani Hills near Kilimanjaro, and the colour shifts from clear blue in daylight to deeper violet under warm light. Each earring is engraved with a mashrabiya motif behind the setting, geometry drawn from the carved screens of Islamic architecture. The form is named for Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye. Hand applied sky blue enamel deepens the stones. Worn under hair pulled back, the blue reads cool against the neck; worn with a closed collar, the stone is what the room sees first.

About This Piece
All Whispers of Alara pieces are crafted in 18K gold — white, yellow, or rose — depending on the collection. We work with ethically sourced diamonds and precious stones, selected for their quality, cut, and clarity. Full material details are listed in the specifications above.
Each piece is shaped and finished by hand. From the initial wax model to the final polish, our goldsmithing process follows traditional methods refined over generations. The result is a piece that carries the marks of its making — and the care behind it.
We recommend having your finger professionally measured at a local jeweler for the most accurate fit. Our pieces are available in half sizes — if you fall between sizes, we suggest sizing up for comfort. For necklace and bracelet lengths, our size guide is available on request.
Store your jewelry away from direct sunlight and moisture. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with perfume, oils, and chlorine. Fine gold and precious stones are durable — but they reward a little ceremony. A piece cared for will last for generations.
