Sinan Earrings - Verdelite
A pair of one carat natural verdelites, round cut, set in 18k yellow gold and circled each by a halo of VVS natural diamonds. Verdelite is green tourmaline, cooler than emerald, quieter on the skin, and the warm gold lifts the green forward. Each earring is engraved with a mashrabiya motif behind the setting, geometry borrowed from the carved screens of the Islamic world. The form is named for Mimar Sinan, the 16th century Ottoman architect of Süleymaniye and Selimiye, whose pattern discipline shapes the collection. Hand applied green enamel deepens the stones. Worn for the day they sit quietly under hair; worn for the evening, the green catches firelight and reads gold-shifted.

About This Piece
All Whispers of Alara pieces are crafted in 18K gold — white, yellow, or rose — depending on the collection. We work with ethically sourced diamonds and precious stones, selected for their quality, cut, and clarity. Full material details are listed in the specifications above.
Each piece is shaped and finished by hand. From the initial wax model to the final polish, our goldsmithing process follows traditional methods refined over generations. The result is a piece that carries the marks of its making — and the care behind it.
We recommend having your finger professionally measured at a local jeweler for the most accurate fit. Our pieces are available in half sizes — if you fall between sizes, we suggest sizing up for comfort. For necklace and bracelet lengths, our size guide is available on request.
Store your jewelry away from direct sunlight and moisture. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with perfume, oils, and chlorine. Fine gold and precious stones are durable — but they reward a little ceremony. A piece cared for will last for generations.
